With its stately villas and broad avenues, the Van Stolk Park is one of the loveliest villa districts in The Hague. The park was named after Thomas van Stolk (1826–1882), a lawyer who commissioned construction of the very first villas in 1872.
Until 1900, primarily villas and hotels were built in the park. From 1900 on, more construction was added and many of the villas were converted into apartments. Van Stolkweg 14 was the first example of a large residential building to take shape
in the villa district.
The building dates from 1928 and was designed by Willem Verschoor in a practical, expressionist style. Having served as an office building in previous years, the building has been returned to its original purpose as a luxurious apartment building.
Located in the heart of the villa district, Parklane Residences offers luxurious, furnished apartments in a beautiful environment surrounded by greenery.
